Digital Drawing #3: Let's Change Up the Format

I find myself twisting even the same drawing subjects in my own way because I want to draw something new, and it definitely makes drawing more fun. I’m sure everyone feels the same way, but if I’m going to draw, I’d rather do something unique than something predictable.

Lately, after discussing optical illusion spaces in perspective with an acquaintance, I started thinking that honest perspective is conceptually similar to image distortion in photography. If you have to depict things larger the closer they are and smaller the farther they are, perhaps a fisheye lens approach would be ideal — that’s roughly the conclusion we ended up with.
